This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of trenchless technology. Open cut pipe replacement is presented, along with several types of trenchless technologies that include: lining; micro-tunneling; pipe bursting; and, horizontal directional drilling. Several types of pipe are presented, along with several examples of case studies. Presentation conclusions indicate that: the adoption of trenchless methods such ashorizontal directional drilling and trenchless pipereplacement will continue to grow as municipalitieslook to stretch their dwindling budgets;there are numerous pipe material options availableto suit the needs of municipalities; and,trenchless methods are sustainable constructionapplications.
