This powerpoint presentation begins by providing an overview of the city of Toronto and discusses the Community Program forStorm Water Management (CPSWM) that encourages non-profit groupsand organizations to helppromote and support theprinciples of the Wet WeatherFlow Master Plan. It is also a funding program developedby the City of Toronto andcarried out in partnership withthe Toronto and RegionConservation Authority. The guiding principles of theCPSWM are based on theWet Weather Flow MasterPlan: to help improve ourriver, stream and lakewater quality byeliminating the negativeeffects of storm waterrunoff. It also discusses the Wet Weather Flow Master Plan (WWFMP), the largest planning process to addressthe impacts of storm water andcombined sewer overflow. Itsgoal is to reduce, and ultimatelyeliminate, the adverse effects of wetweather flow/runoff that is generatedwhen it rains or snows. The benefits of the WWFMP are listed along with the managing process of the CPSWM, and public education examples are provided.
