This slide presentation outlines information on a project to expand a conventional filtration plant from 28 MGD to 45 MGD usingmembrane technologies to meet future demand andto address water quality concerns. Project overview includes the following: clarifier/pretreatment improvements;50 MGD UF membrane capacity;15 MGD RO membrane capacity;UV disinfection (completed under separateproject);new chemical storage and disinfection facilities;new 3 million gallon clearwell and HS pumpstation; and,renovations to control room/admin/laboratory. Project goals included improving water quality andoperational flexibility, andutilizing existing facilities as much as possibleto contain the following process equipmentclarifiers;membranes;ancillary equipment;blowers;vacuum pumps;process pumps; and, UV disinfection equipment. Project approach and design overview are outlined.
