This paper highlights the treatment process evaluation that led up to the selection ofsubmerged membranes for the City of Kennewick, Washington's Water Filtration Plant (WFP) Improvements Project. Membranevendor considerations and the membrane system procurement process are presentedalong with a discussion of the design approach and considerations for implementing anew technology to retrofit Kennewick's conventional water filtration plant.
