This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the testing items and methods to grasp the performance in using state of aeration tank, precipitation tank, etc. of standard activated sludge process equipment to be used for removing from water the suspensoid and soluble matters difficult to precipitate by converting them finally to the sludge easily to be precipitated through biochemical adsorption, oxidation or assimilation, by mixing waste water and activated sludge which is the aggregate of aerobic microorganism.
