Description / Abstract: Introduction

This part specifies the Mobile Data Link Protocol (MDLP) Abstract Test Suite (ATS). Further, this part:

• Defines specific terms relevant to the MDLP ATS

• Discusses test selection criteria

• Provides naming conventions for ATS test groups and test cases.

The MDLP ATS is the basis for evaluating an implementation's conformance to the MDLP protocol defined in Part 403.

This part does not specify how test cases are to be realized or used, nor how test results are to be presented or used.
