Description / Abstract:
INTRODUCTION
This document presents a recommended plan for the implementation
of Automatic Code Gapping (ACG) for use in the Wireless
Radiotelephone Service. ACG is used to reduce the rate at which a
network entity, typically an MSC, sends service request messages to
a service control function (SCF) network entity. ACG controls can
be applied automatically by the SCF when it is in overload. ACG
controls can also be applied by an SCF for purposes of SCF service
management.
