Description / Abstract: This document contains minimum technical, material, and workmanship requirements applicable to the provision of premises wiring for connection to basic telephone. exchange service. This Engineering Bulletin does not address wiring from one building to another or cable containing more than four (4) pairs of conductors. This engineering bulletin addresses premises wiring to be used only with FCC registered or grandfather non-button or single button telephone sets and associated ancillary devices.

All applicable building and electrical codes shall be completed with: Article 800, entitled communication circuits, of the National Electrical code, and other relevant sections of that of that code are hereby incorporated by reference and shall be complied with.
